What makes a bar trivia fun? Diverse teammates? Good questions? Beer? All of those things, plus GREAT HOSTS!
Best Men Trivia runs an entertaining game full of 40+ questions and banter and does it all in a way that doesn’t feel rushed and at the same time doesn’t drag. We’ve been to too many trivia nights where the host will ask a pretty simple question and then play a complete song to give players time to answer; and even when all the answer sheets have been put in the bucket, the song still plays and the momentum of the game diminishes.
Best Men Trivia’s questions are displayed on video monitors and cover general trivia as well as audio and video questions. Our games consist 5 rounds of 8 questions each with the last round being a penalty round; in that round teams can gain many points by answering correctly BUT teams can lose points by answering incorrectly. There are opportunities throughout the game for bonus points, and occasionally a bonus “handout” round is thrown in to keep things fresh. We have “just for fun” between-round anagrams to keep you busy while we score the round.

About Us
Friends since 1984, Bob was the Best Man at Jeff’s wedding in 1994, and in 2002, Jeff returned the favor and stood up for Bob. And today, they’re Best Men Trivia!

Jeff and Bob have been playing trivia in many incarnations for the better part of their lives, from the Coleco Quiz Wiz thru 2XL, from Jeopardy to Trivial Pursuit and everything inbetween; finally ending up playing Bar Trivia around Morris County for the past half-decade or so, and in June 2021, they made the jump to hosting!
Special Events and Fundraisers
Best Men Trivia is available for fundraisers, parties and private events. Just reach out and we discuss how BMT can help!
We’ve got some special events coming up! (Regular events are over in the right column!)
On this, our actual five year anniversary, we`d like to take a minute to shout out the real heroes - our substitute hosts.
Could Bob or I host solo? Sure. Is it as fun? Not for our money, so we`re super excited when we can drag friends and family to help us host. Since I often have out of town engagements, we reached out to our old trivia teammates to see who wanted to see how the sausage is made.
In our early days, my daughter Molly would often be in the co-pilot seat, and more recently, my son, Jack had been helping out (until he started working nights...). (I think Emily might have sat in for one or two also? The mind is the first to go...) We had our theatre friends, Cookie and John and theatre friend/Lunch Lady Fantasy player Desiree. From the comedy world, we had Scott sitting in a couple summers ago.
We had some one-off co-hosts as well - Rick and Lunch Lady Fantasy when they each wrote a night`s game, various civic folk from Gillette when we were hosting down at Vintage. And we had a couple of "wedding party takeovers" where John and Cookie flew the plane without Bob or I.
So we thank all of them for helping us keep the banter alive!
